Robotic Cell for automated composites trimming - ACS Australia Facility

Advanced Composite Structures Australia (ACS Australia) has been announced as a recipient of Round 6 of the Victorian Government’s Supply Chain Uplift Program (SCUP), supporting the growth of Victoria’s Defence supply chain and advanced manufacturing capability.

ACS Australia is proud to have been named on Wednesday 20 May 2026 among 17 Victorian businesses awarded support through Round 6 of the Supply Chain Uplift Program, part of the Victorian Land Systems Fund.

The Victorian Government announced $1.1 million in business grants through the latest round, supporting local Defence supply chain businesses to strengthen their capability, increase capacity and pursue opportunities across major Defence programs.

As part of the announcement, ACS Australia will use the funding to purchase new equipment to expand operations at its facility in Melbourne’s Altona North, supporting the creation of new jobs.

The investment will further strengthen ACS Australia’s role as one of Australia’s leading composite technology organisations, supporting advanced engineering and manufacturing for the Defence industry.

ACS Australia General Manager Paul Falzon welcomed the announcement:

“These funds will increase our capability and capacity as we continue our growth as an advanced engineering and manufacturing company supplying composite products to the Defence Industry.”

The Supply Chain Uplift Program supports Victorian businesses to improve their readiness and competitiveness through activities such as industry-specific certifications, facility upgrades, cyber security improvements, product development, and research and development.

ACS Australia looks forward to continuing its contribution to Victoria’s Defence manufacturing ecosystem and supporting the growth of a sovereign, high-value advanced composites capability.
