The Advanced Composite Structures Australia team is grateful for the exceptional support our engineering interns, Kai, Nic, and Shevaan have contributed to key Defence projects during their Defence Industry Internship Placement (DIIP) 2023/2024. They have not only integrated seamlessly into our team but have also brought innovative critical thinking and hands-on engineering skills.

The Defence Industry Internship Program offers students a paid 12-week internship and the opportunity to gain real-life experience on real industry projects. The ACS Australia team is always impressed by the quality of engineering interns, including the hands-on technical capabilities, as well as the innovative problem solving skills and determination they apply to projects. ACS Australia is glad to have had the opportunity to support Kai, Shevaan and Nic’s growth, professional development and hope they enjoyed the challenging projects in the Defence space of advanced design and manufacturing.

”The DIIP engineering interns contributions have advanced our projects and have set a benchmark for future internships.”

Rodney Thomson – Engineering Manager, Advanced Composite Structures Australia
