Through our sponsorship, our large-format CNC machining capabilities have enabled the development of a prototype monocoque pattern, marking a key step in the team’s transition from traditional sheet metal tooling to composite mould manufacturing. This approach offers improved dimensional accuracy and greater design freedom for lightweight vehicle development.
Alongside machining support, our team has shared manufacturing knowledge, provided facility access and assisted with carbon-fibre mould post-curing and composite production processes. This collaboration gives final-year engineering students valuable hands-on experience, helping them apply their academic knowledge to real-world engineering challenges.
