Our 2024/2025 DIIP interns, Sam Smith & Naim Teunisse, RMIT University aerospace engineering students, have been key team members of ACS Australia in supporting the manufacture and design of Defence projects, as well as contributing to renewable energy projects. Their practical skills and academic knowledge have significantly benefited ACS Australia’s ongoing projects.

“ACS Australia is proud to provide an opportunity where emerging engineers can apply their knowledge to real Defence projects while working alongside experienced professionals.” – Paul Falzon, General Manager at ACS Australia

The DIIP offers a 12-week (450-hour) paid internship, allowing students to work on real-world projects within small to medium defence industry enterprises across Australia. Interns gain exposure to advanced technologies and develop critical employability skills.
Applications for the 2025/2026 intake will open from 28 July to 31 August 2025, with internships commencing in December 2025 and concluding by the end of May 2026.
