ACS Australia is proud to be featured in the September 2025 Issue 68 edition of Connection, Composites Australia’s industry magazine. The article, “ACS-A: From CRC Breakthroughs to Global Supply Chains”, written by Composites Australia Executive Director Kerryn Caulfield, highlights our history, impact, and ongoing role in advancing Australia’s composites capability.
The feature traces ACS-A’s journey from its origins in the Cooperative Research Centre for Advanced Composite Structures (CRC-ACS) to today’s position as an ISO 9001-certified engineering and manufacturing company. It showcases how our pioneering research and collaboration have enabled significant outcomes, including technologies applied in the Boeing 787 Dreamliner program, and the establishment of a sovereign capability that now contributes across aerospace, defence, renewable energy, and beyond.
We are honoured to see ACS-A’s legacy and future ambitions recognised – from establishing our new large-scale composites manufacturing facility in Melbourne to supporting the next generation of engineers through industry internships and apprenticeships.
