The 23rd International Conference on Composite Materials (ICCM23) will be in Belfast, Northern Ireland, 30 July – 4 August 2023. The conference chair is Professor Brian Falzon of RMIT University. Brian is a former colleague of several ACS-A team members from his periods in Australia. This is a nice segue from the successful ICCM22 held last year in Melbourne. ICCM22 had 1,478 delegates from 44 countries.

ICCM23 Call for Abstracts | Murray Scott – ICCM World Fellow
Our chairman Murray Scott has been supporting ICCM since 1991. Serving from 2001 to 2003 as President and now as an Honorary Member of the Executive Council. Murray is an ICCM World Fellow and was the first Australian to receive this honour. This is in recognition for outstanding contributions to the field of composite materials. Murray is also the recipient of the 2017 Scala Award and delivered the associated opening plenary lecture at ICCM22.
ICCM was founded in 1975 by some of the legends in the field of composite materials. Established to encourage the free interchange of information on composite materials and structures for the scientific engineering community.
Australia hosted the eleventh ICCM in 1997 on the Gold Coast in Queensland. It was the first occasion the conference had been in the southern hemisphere. ICCM11 was a great success remembered for several innovations, including producing the first digital proceedings for the series.
